Answer #2

I went to one their not bad all they do is talk to you and see if you need meds and things like that its nothing to be worried about. As far as the helping goes just be sure if your put on any type of med you take it and dont miss ant cause I had some weird side effects that I wouldnt want the my worst enemy to go threw

dont be scared…I started going about a year and a half ago. and I am also diagnosed with depression. I was really nervous when I started going because I was worried she would tell my mom everything. but after awhile I sttarted to trust her and it was really nice to have someone to talk to about the things I couldnt say to anyone else.

Well I may be a little biased because I want to become a psychologist, and I’m definitely not scary… I’ve been seeing a therapist for a couple of years. I wouldnt say I’m completely cured, but she had a lot of problems to work with. Most of my “issues” are better… So yeah the right therapist can help. It’s not like s/he can hurt right? You just talk… your first session she or he will just get a bunch of background info… and then you can start talking about why you havent been feeling too well… (and how to make yourself feel better)

Answer #5

you have nothing to be afraid of my friends mum is one and she is one of the kindist people I have ever met and she said she loves her job because she loves to help people.they dont just sit and tell you what to do they listen to you and make you feel a lot better after all thats what there here for.Dont worry after the first session you might actually what to go again, because usally you can form quite a strong bond with themx

Answer #6

thankyou for all your advice.

Answer #7

Don’t be afraid to see a psychiatrist. All they will do is ask you questions about how you are feeling and what is going on in your life. They might suggest taking antidepressants for awhile to see if that will help your depression. Go to: http://www.akatoo.com/question.html?question_id=4028387 for more of the same.
