Do I deserve to be ungrounded?

I left the house at two in the morn to get mcdonnalds and got caught by my dad I was grounded for a week but do I deserve to be ungrounded now?

Answer #1

If you went out when you knew you weren’t allowed to be out, then you deserve to be grounded. You need to follow your parent’s rules if you want to live under their roof.

Answer #2

it sounds right and btw I have A parent its just me and my dad

Answer #3

I agree.

Answer #4

I shudder to think what might have happened to you if you had been unlucky enough to meet one of those perverts how go out prowling in search of defenceless young girls who are daft enough to go out alone at that time of night. ….. . ….. and I shudder to think how dreadful your father would have felt after you had been found, knowing that if only he had been a bit more strict with you it might not have happened. . To be honest I think you have been treated leniently, and that says a lot lot for the trust that your father has in you NOT making the same mistake again. . Always tell your father where you are going and when you expect to be back until you are old enough to fend for yourself. . Your father deserves your thanks for caring enough to teach you an important lesson without doing it too harshly. .

Yes, bottom line, you snuck out. It doesn’t matter where you went or how long you were out, you still went behind your parents’ backs and snuck out. (McDonald’s is open at 2am? Mine closes at 11pm :( :()

Answer #6

Well if you were hungry and there wasn’t any food in the house then that is bullsh*t…of course your going to be hungry..but how long did they say you were grounded for?But if there was food in the house or wasn’t you still should of confronted one of your parents that you would like to get some food..going out at that time or anytime is very dangerous especially if your alone and your parents are unsure of where you are.

Answer #7

If your week is over then yes you can be ungrounded. Also if your dad lets you more time grounded then I guess you have to take it, it’s a consequence for breaking the rules. Simple as that.

Answer #8

He never said how long and its just one parent I have

Answer #9

What makes you think you deserve to be ungrounded? Being a week older doesn’t count.

You move out any live under your own roof or somebody else’s. While you live under somebody else’s roof (includng your parents’ roof) you should accept their rules so long as they are consistent with the laws of your country and international human rights.
