Stay out of his way. You cant really control your dad getting upset when things do go as he planned, its best to judt give him his space and go to your room or go outside or something. Parents are only human and they get upset and mistakes just like everyone else, just go to your room and give him time to chill out.

It always seems to help if you make sure and respect what he says whenever he IS reasonable. That way, when he gets UNreasonably mad about something, you have more of a right to stand up for yourself, and he’ll probably have more respect for you as well.
When you are with your dad and you are both calm and happy, tell him that when he gets angry you feel (scared, mad, alone) whatever youfeel. Then tell him that you love him (if you do love him) and you want him to control getting mad and go for a walk instead.
my dad does it too, he never gets violent or anything.. but he has this voice that he gets into, and it’s pretty scary. i used to cry when he would do it, but all it did was make me feel stupid. you just gotta let it go, or stand up to him. remember though, you need to be respectful, so don’t talk back, in a rude way. or you could just say “dad, you really shouldn’t get so mad about things like this” he may not listen but at least he knows.. talk to your mom about it too?
