How can I get my dad to let me borrow money for a book fair?

simply talk to him about it & explain how important it is for you & try to even ask him to come so he see’s what it is really for & what it is all about. Honesty gets you everywhere & everything.

Like3 handing a proposal to a company, you should tell your dad about the book fair, how important it is to you and you can tell him that you need his financial support for the event. Do not forget to give him a big big big hugs! :-)

I would try to reason with your old man, but at the end of the day, he maynot have the money to lend you or he thinks your risk profile is too high i.e., you will not return the money. Perhaps you read too much and it is his way of hinting you get outside and play a bit. I am a voracious reader and have been known to sit for 12 hour periods just reading. When I was younger and my parents refused to pay for my books, I negotiated with them and asked that they lend me the money at 5% annual interest. It worked. Perhaps you could try the
