Custody of my 2 sons

Just over a year ago I had trouble paying the rent, my children would have had to move into tempoary accommadation in a different area and their schooling would have been disrupted. Their father said he would move in and take over the rent payments untill we decided what to do for the best. I totally trusted him and moved out . Since then he has taken over the role of single parent and is living in the house still, with all my belongings while I have spent a year living with friends facing homelessness. I now have to save enough to rent another house and sue him for custody and all my posessions. He says I cant look after myself despite the fact he uses all my posessions. My children have been told repeatedly bad things will happen if they live with me. I’ve always been a model mum and put them 1st , stayed home to look after them all their lives. Any advice on how to get through this time while im saving and missing them like crazy and worrying about them would be much appreciated. It drains me beyond words and makes my stomach go in knots and my mind re-runs their childhood and I cant sleep and dont feel like eating. How can he get away with this?

Before you engage in legal action, convince their father to let you have the kids on weekends. He’ll probably be glad to get some relief, and you’ll get to see your kids regularly while you try to get back on your feet.

Once you’ve been doing that for a while, convince him to split time 50/50.

50/50 is fair, and if he’s even slightly reasonable, he’ll agree to it after a while without the need to spend a fortune on legal bills.

I feel your pain I too am going through a simular situation and I beleive that god will get us both through this as long as we keep the faith in knowing he didnt give us these children for us not to be their mommy’s and raise them
