why do i go cross-eyed without out knowing when i wear my glasses ?

i wear my glasses when im looking at the tv or long distance things or when my eyes start to hurt.and my eyes just go cross eyed and i notice then it goes back normal whys this ?

weel because ur staring at an object..thats what happens to me when i sit their and stare at an object..its nothing bad just try to blink more often..

It could be that when you wear your glasses, it becomes fuzzy or unclear, and you cross your eyes subliminaly to make your vision clear again…

Disclaimer: I worked in a optical lab and I know a bit about vision disorders but I’m no doctor. This sounds like convergence disorder. Our eyes naturally turn inward when we look at close objects and return to parallel when we look at distant ones. When eyes turn in too little or too much we see double and to cope our brain discards one image we loose binocular vision.

First rule out problems with the glasses themselves. You glasses could be incorrectly made and could actually be the cause of your problems so have your eye doctor check them. Assuming your glasses are fine you should go to an eye doctor with experience treating binocular vision disorders. You may need to do vision exercises and/or wear glasses with prism built in to help bring the images together.
