How can I control my temper?

Especially with friends and family members. I don’t mean to snap easily at them, but it seems like as if I don’t want to be bothered…I don’t know I just don’t seem calm at times ._.

Count down from 10 to 1? Right a big txt message on how u feel and why but not send it

just dont answer them. just sing a song to urself r u can try telling them that u wanna be alone for a moment.

You’ll find it a lot easier to calm down if you just get away from whatever’s upsetting you…..take a breather !

I have the same problem, and I always get annoyed by simple things. If it’s happening on text or phone, i would suggest saying you got to go, and talk through with them what just happened once you cooled down. (It helps!!) If it happens in person, walking away from someone to avoid blowing up in anger can cause the person to get mad (especially if its a parent lol) so just say things as nicely as you can, and if you cannot, just say you need a minute to yourself and ALWAYS think before you react or speak. And just think of things on their point of view, and pretend your in their shoes. I personally think this helps me from snapping and such. Oh and if your angry, don’t let it out on anyone, music, going for a jog, etc. Can help let out your emotions! I hope i helped :)

It depends what kind of a person you are as to what will help you but you could try a) Writing your feelings/emotions down on paper- you don’t have to show anyone.. you don’t have to keep it, but sometimes it helps to let it all out in words without actually yelling at somebody. Or you could b) try exercise like going for a long run or try boxing to let out anger (it really works!) You could even just walk the dog or go for a walk to cool your head.

Just say: Dear God I understand that anger doesn’t come from you because you are peace and relieve. Please take this unger from me and give me a peacefull mind. Amen.” amazingly u will feel calm. It really works.

by making yourself the most important person in your life. every moment we spend angry or sad is a moment of our life wasted an we can never get it back. its just gone. resolve to never let anyone else make you spend those moments foolishly. doesn’t work for all situations but remember only you can control your reactions

Habits, replace the old (acting out on that temper) with new (is take a breath and do not do or say anything till you are calm enough to do so).

Simply replacing habits.
