Considering joining army

I am a convicted felon. Served year and a half probation. I do not owe any fines or restitution fees. I am 39 years old,in good shape. What does the army look at as far as the amount that was stolen? I stole a lot of gas over a four year period. Thats it. No other kind of criminal history period.

I may be wrong but I belive in the military (any branch) you cannot enter if you have a felony, now like I said I may be wrong but I was mostly focused on the marines, then I got a felony, so I believe if its like that for one branch its like that for every branch…I do know in the army you can enter with a g.e.d but marines you have to be a highschool graduate, you will be better off just to call your local recruiter and find out…

The Army prides it self on “saving people.” While I am not quite sure if there is a limit to what can be on your record, I know there are people in the Army that have a felony record for more then stealing. I would talk to a recruiter for sure! The Army can be a great carreer especially in this day and age (when youre guarenteed a paycheck, a roof over your head, bennefits for you and your family, three meals a day etc) The recruiters will also do a background check (no big suprise there) so I am sure they will know if you can even be considerd.
