Online bmi and fat calculator

I did an online bmi and fat calculator. According to the results, I am almost obese according to the fat calculator and underweight according to the bmi calculator. How is possible to be both underweight and obese!?

Answer #1

Well first off, you should go to a nutritionist or your regular physician to accurately measure your fat percentage; they can also let you know what category you’re in in relation to your weight. Online calculators are a best guess method for the “average” body type. They can’t look at you in person, and they can’t accurately judge your weight. How could it distinguish between a 5’5 person who is “fatty” and weighs 145lbs and a 5’5 person who is “muscular” and weighs 145bs? The latter person is obviously healthier, and probably LOOKS healthier, but they will recieve the same results on an online test.
