Common Cold?

Two nights ago I began to feel very fatigued and had a mild sore throat. I went to bed early and woke up in the middle of the night with a fever of 99.8 degrees. My throat was also much more sore but only on the left side. Also, the gland on the left side of my neck is swollen and tender to touch. I have had a fever of no higher than 99.8 for the past two days and when I take advil I seem to feel almost back to normal until it wares of. My mom wants me to go to the doctor if I’m not feeling better by tomorrow but I think it’s just a common cold. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like an infection… (esp the fact that your lymph nodes are swollen) the advil is getting rid of the fever which is why you feel almost back to normal, but the cause behind the fever needs to be dealt with… an infection could get a lot worse quickly… the last thing you need is pneumonia… go see the doctor
