  Trust me cats can learn if they want, but ONLY if they want. They can't be taught anything because they are cats and don't care about anyone or anything but themselves and do whatever they want, when they want and there's nothing anybody can do about it.

  Yeah, right. He is a cat. You serve him. You are allowed to live in his home as long as you behave well. Do not try to wake him if he sleeps. That will be punished. Terribly.
