Which is better - the Canon 500d or Canon 550d?

I was planing to buy the canon 550d as soon as possible hopefully withiin the next few days however my granddad came home today and he said hed brought the 500d so i was all like :O on he din’tt. So yeah which is better

The 500d, for sure. They both have the equal amount of components. One may have one or two things over the other & vice versa..

The 500D is a 15.1 mp sensor camera, also known as the T1i. The 550D is an 18 mp sensor camera also known as the T2i. More mp the better the resolution.
