Nope, because the constitution grants everyone the right to life, which pretty much makes it impossible for that to come into law, although Canada did have capital punishment before, it ended in 1956, however came to late for a man named Wilbert Coffin, the last person to get the death penalty in Canada. (plus the evidence against him was all circumstantial, so they didn't even have good reason to convict him of anything)
Capital punishment, or the death penalty, is the killing of a person by judicial process as a punishment for an offense.

As far as I know, no. I've never heard of it being used around here (and I'm in Ontario).
