I went on holiday recently to Crete, and a little dog followed me and my partner along the beach. I stroked it but I didn't get bitten or see any saliva coming from its mouth, could I have got rabies if I wasn't bitten?
Ameena, humans can get rabies. It's a type of disease called a zoonosis, which means it's a disease that animals can pass to humans. Another example would be lyme, because the vector is a tick.
Anyway, if the dog looked normal and didn't bite or scratch you, you don't have rabies. If for some reason you still think you might, and you're feeling sick, see a doctor.
no not really, even if it had saliva on it you still cant get it because it didnt enter your blood stream (or system) so dont worry about it.
Nope..raibies is a dog thing just as human's get headache etc...
