why do boys lie and say there going to call you back and they dont ?

I wouldn’t say it is just boys. A lot of people have a hard time telling someone to their face that they aren’t interested and never want to see the other person again. You can even rationalize that it is nicer to tell the fib that they will call, when they know they won’t because they don’t want to hurt the other persons feelings.

Don’t take it personally. He’s just not that into you.

It could be one of many reasons, if it is after a first date, the boy may have simply not wanted to hurt your feelings by telling you that he is not interested, and to save you the pain simply ending the event with an “i’ll call you” line. He could generally be busy. May have lost your number. Might not know what to say. All girls hang on every word a guy says, and take what they say literally. Where as guys are so much more relaxed, and don’t mean they’ll call you the next day… but in the future at somepoint.

Don’t read too much into it, if he calls then it’s meant to be… if not, then simply move on and enjoy life :’)
