  Don’t put any stock into BMIs. They are for Adults 18 to 65 years of age.

According to the Teen weight chart for your age and height, 105 to 125 pounds is the 50 percentile.

  Average Teenager Weight

  So, you might be 10 to 15 pounds overweight but I wouldn’t worry about it. I’d be more concerned with toning your muscles through a good exercise program which might not make you lose much weight but it would replace fat with muscle. You would feel better about yourself.

Also, you may have a little growth spurt in the next year or so, so your weight will take care of itself.

Just try to eat healthy and drink lots of water. At least 8 eight ounce glasses per day, one of those glasses before every meal except breakfast. You should always eat a good breakfast because that helps jump start your metabolism which will help burn calories throughout the day.

Answer #4

Underweight = < 18.5 Normal weight = 18.5-24.9 Overweight = 25-29.9 Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

So since your BMI is 24.7 you are normal weight but quite close to the “overweight” category.
