What are blood oranges and cara cara oranges used for?

  They are like most oranges, they can be a different color though. You can use the blood orange for some good stuff, like to make juice, or mamalade, and the zest you can use for baking and stuff. Some of them are like sweet and others are not, just like a regular orange. I don't know much about the cara cara orange, but I'm guessing its about the same thing.

  Well the blood oranges to me taste like grapefruit, my one concern with the cara cara oranges is that it says low acidity but it sure doesn't taste like it, they seem hugh acidity to me

  They are just oranges...use them like any other orange, but blood oranges to add a lot of beautiful colour to dishes that have oranges as an ingredient.
