What happens if you bleach your hair?

Answer #1

It’s the result of a series of chemical reactions between the molecules in hair, pigments, as well as peroxide and ammonia, if present. Bleach is used to lighten hair. The bleach reacts with the melanin in hair, removing the color in an irreversible chemical reaction. The bleach oxidizes the melanin molecule. The melanin is still present, but the oxidized molecule is colorless.

Answer #5

plain english it lightens your hair but just be careful how much bleach you use don’t want to damage your hair. On brown hair it turns like a blondish color sometimes it will spot depending on your hair. If its your first time bleaching your hair do a test strip and see how the results come out, if you like the results well proceed with the bleaching.
