Why is it that black people have peach colored hands and feet?

Now dont yell at me, I am not raciest. I just happen to be oblivious and just noticed a few days ago. Is there a scientific reason behind it ?

Answer #1

Its because there is lack of sunlight to those areas of the skin, think about it standing naturally our hands are turned inwards and our feet are on the ground. Also the skin on the palms and feet are different if you look real closely at your own hands youll find virtually no pores(there are but they are tiny).

Answer #2

Human skin colorization differs on different parts of the body. Have a look at a white man’s hand’s. Are the backs of their hands exactly the same color as their palms? Are his ears the same color as the skin under his chin?

So all humans, whether “white”, “brown”, “black”, or “yellow”, etc… have different skin colors on different parts of their own bodies.

Regardless of race or ethnicity, the skin on the palms and soles of the feet is always less pigmented than elsewhere on the body. In darker skinned people this is more noticeable, but in light skinned people this feature of human biology cannot normally be seen by simple visual inspection.

The cells in the skin that produce pigment provides essential protection against ultraviolet radiation from the sun. The soles of the feet and the palms of the hands are the parts of the body’s surface that are least likely to be exposed to the sun, regardless of which country you live in or how you dress!
