Do you think it's ok to have black only schools (especially in Canada), although our ancestors worked so hard to stop segregation?
No, I don't think, in countries with mixed nationalities, that segregation of any nationality is advisable. That would increase cultural differences rather than blending cultures to facilitate a more balanced society.
Keep in mind that the various different cultures always have the ability, outside of school, to have groups where members of their race/culture are able to learn about their heritage and associate yet still be able to blend in with the mixed society.
I hate to sound ingnorant but there are still black only skools? What the hell? Why? I think thats completely ridiculous. I dont know about everyone else here but I am really looking forward to the day when stupid people wake up and realise that, black or white or whatever colour we are, whatever we look like, thats not what counts. We all deserve equality and we should not have to be segregated.
Why should one race be single'd out? For one what is the point. your not going to graduate and have a black only town, this is the real world theres different nations races everywhere, why hide the reality?
teresa - what are you talking about? they learn as if they were in their country? canada is their country?
and to answer your question - segregation is not acceptable anymore... so no...
No of course not. Racism is racism and shouldn't be tolerated. And I'm speaking here as someone who has actually experienced going to an official whites only school in Rhodesia.
that there learn there things like as if thay were in there contray so it helps them become a better perison
I see, I can't judge whether it's bad or good -> I just want to know what is good about black only skools.
No way.
Absolutely ridiculous. Way to bring us back to the 1950s.
yes its ok there thay onley learn things thay would in there country
segregating people only breeds hysteria and fear
