Best friend is driving me crazy

My bff is cutting herself. I want it to stop because she is going emo and wont talk to me. I miss the old days. How can I ask her to stop?

Answer #1

She’s dealing with some stuff, asking her to simply stop is probably not going to do much. I’d try and get her some help.

Try this site, there’s a section for family and friends http://www.palace.net/~llama/psych/injury.html

just let her know that you are there for her…every single step of the way. it will make herfeel a lot more comfy to be around you. let her know how you feel. it may take some time though…so dont rush it. she may be facing some depressions. but look fter her anyway

as well as everyone elses advice self harm has nothing to do with being emo still something too many people interpret nowdays though and your freind has an issue with self-harming she needs to get help for this and talk to someone about so they can offer her advice

Answer #5

simply be there for her, and show her you care!! maybe bring the “old days” back to her memory?.. do all the old fun stuff that you guys use to do, and tell her that you cherish her as a friend, show her that you’re there for her, and if there’s any problems in her life, you’d like to her her out - in a HEALTHY way, where she dosen’t hurt herself!!

Answer #6

Take her out to lunch or dinner one day. Talk about your friendship and what it means to u. Talk about your past and how you miss the old her. Let her know that your upset and scared and that you dont want to lose her as a friend and that she should also respect your wishes. you care and what else can you really do. I would tell her parents. She obvoiusly has deep dark issues that you cant help her with. Maybe a small intervention w/her parents and you and another person she respects and loves and a counselor mite help. This can get crazy and seriously end her life. She needs professional help.
