is it bad that some families grow up sexist?

Answer #1

I think that both boys and girls should learn all the different household chores and tasks. It will only profit them later in life. I believe telling a child that something is a “boy” job or a “girl” job puts limitations on them and may stop them from following dream and being the best they can be.

Answer #2

Everybody will have different views on this, but personally I think that sexism goes hand in hand with racism. I can’t stand it. It’s usually old-school families that grow up still thinking that women are to be house-wives while men have the career. These days, there are so many life options available for everybody, that there really isn’t any need for sexism at all. As our world develops, people are starting to see that women really can do anything that men do. We have women that are deep sea divers, mountaineers, police and pilots. Builders, mechanics, truckies, and professional fighters. The boundaries between ‘men’s jobs’ and ‘women’s jobs’ are slimmer and slimmer every year and soon there will be absolutely no line between men and women.

Answer #3

I personally don’t think that it’s good way teach your family, I mean your just teaching them that old school and things are not like that anymore. But some people might do it, it all depends.
