Why do we learn Algebra and Geometry?

why is algebra sooo easy but freakn geometry sooo hrd??? we wont ever use proofs nor none if that shizz. please tell me why we learn them!!!

Actually each is very important … They allow you think freely and solves problems on your own(away from school). Ask your teacher to apply what your learning to everyday life. Learning how to apply these skills is the power and beauty of math. Feel free to ask questions like this in school.

I think it depends on how individual brains work…I thought algerbra was hard but geometry easy…because I could actually “picture” it in my head.

At this late date…I can tell you that I’ve never used alerbra for anything…tho geometry has come in darn handy in carpentry projects…

I took algebra now I take geometry I have to agree geometry is challenging but algebra is easy. most of the geometry stuff I dont get and it seems pointless. but I believe that by taking geometry it helps prepare you for future classes such as trigonometry and so forth. like all educational classes, each class prepares you for the next one, which is more challenging
