Another God Question

I beleive in him but does that necessarilly mean I have to follow all of his ways? I mean if I listen to rap or cus does that mean like im going to hell or what? If its true you can repent and pray he will forgive you then does that mean you can like do as many sins as you want and then pray and go to heaven??

Well well…Apparently these others haven’t considered this: What if you’re wrong? Right now you believe in God, but that doesn’t mean you still will 10 or 20 years from now. Plus, it doesn’t require belief in any deity to know right from wrong. Much of what the bible calls “sin” is merely the morality of the day - and that changes. Jesus teaches you this: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The ONE Commandment that covers murder, adultery, theft, rape, and abuse. All that ‘Keep holy the Sabbath’ and ‘Honor thy mother and father’ is just window dressing and pales to that one edict of Christ, and its a good one. Have whatever sex you enjoy without shame. Have whatever you call fun - just don’t hurt another. Don’t cause any other person harm physically or emotionally to the very best of your ability. You are not perfect and this will not always be possible, so if you slip up apologize and make restitution when necessary. If you do these things you will have lived a just life. Namaste’

A Christian will have the desire in their heart to please the Lord in everything they ‘say and do’ - we, like He are to hate sin - not the sinner.

Answer #3

And if you dare to not believe in something as unknowable as a diety, and happen to be wrong, he will cast you into the fire.

He is one evil and cruel SOB.

Answer #4

Matthew 7 and 1 John state that those who claim to be followers of Christ and do not keep his commandments are liars and the truth is not found in them. If you can sin habitually and not be convicted about it, then you are not saved because “the Lord chastises those whom He loves.” Hope this helps.

Answer #5

you have to ask him into your heart. and then he will guide you if you trust him and you have to follow his ways and you should read the bible if you dont believe me.

Answer #6

How do you know what god wants in the first place? Your pastor? The Bible? How do you know their right?

Unless god tells you his will persoanlly, the things others tell you to be his will could just as easily be lies/myths.

Answer #7

What God desires, is a relationship with each of us. He wants to come into our lives, thru the power of his spirit, and to actually live in our hearts.

This comes about by believeing that he exists, and inviting him in. Repentance is necessary. Meaning that you believe that you have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God, if you don’t know what that means you need to study the bible.

It says that we are all sinners.. in need of a savior.

He paid the way… bought the ticket.. it waits for each of us.

When we truly come to him in sincerity and truth, we choose him over sin. That is what baptism is about.. dying out to the old… me.. and coming up.. a new me.. in Christ. Symbolic of the accomplishment in the spirit.

When Christ truly lives within us, we no longer have a desire to sin… he takes that away… it may not happen immediatly.. but, if you pursure him, and his word, and his ways.. it will happen.

He came to defeat sin, in our lives.

He wants our entire heart…

not just time on Sunday morning.

He wants us 24/7… and if we do not give him that.. we are living below our priviledge. And our calling.

He wants our hearts, and our minds.. stayed upon him.

Again.. this is not automatic… not immediate… and some never give their all.

Some believe they are saved.. and aren’t.

That is scary.

To come to the judgement seat of Christ.. and to hear him declare:

Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity… I never knew you.

Most dreaded words indeed.

I surely do not want to hear them.

I want to hear, Well done.. good and faithful servant, enter into what I have prepared for you.

Hope you do too…

I really don’t want to send disrespectful to my religion, so this is a bit of a touchy subject. Readers, please don’t get mad. It’s just a thought. I personally don’t think that we should take God’s forgiveness for granted. But to err is human, and unless your blood is green, I think it applies to you just as much as it applies to me. To be honest though, the Bible is pretty old. With every year comes more sins, more possibilities, more mistakes. As new things happen, we all change. It’s part of life. Sometimes we curse a lot, other times we’re clear as crystal. I think that although the Lord says one thing, his rules have to change the same as we do. Now, don’t get me wrong. Most of them won’t. Killing will still be bad, as well as the rest of the Ten Commandments. But all I’m saying is that as we learn new things, his rules have to change, too. Just think about it.

Answer #9

well in the old testiment you know how all the people to sacrifice all those animals becuase they sinned? well they did that because they needed to blood to make up for the sin, but jesus gave us that blood when he died on the cross, so I mean its definetly going to make god glad that you follow all the rules, but if you do break one you just have to ask for forgiveness from him, just dont take that for granted

Answer #10

Not bibical type of person, but if I did think you’ld go straight to hell for repeating the same sin & then asking for forgiveness know that what you doing is wrong if you know that is wrong & do it anyways then ask for forgiveness from him it would be kind of like mocking him in my opinion it’s like doing something your parents tell you not to do over & over again but you do it anyways & know that it is wrong, are you serisly going to be able to expect forgiveness when you ask them to? I think that’s sadwell what ever you believe in, just remember what goes around will return to you in 3fold, least that’s what I believe. One of the reasons wiccans & witches try their best to resist temptation of wrong doing & “sinful” deeds.

Answer #12

well, you’re not going to hell for cussing or listening to rap, as long as you believe in christ as your saviour, your pretty much good. but, that really doesn’t mean you should keep doing it, if you repent, He will forgive you, I think it says that God won’t forgive you seven times, but seventy times seven. and God didn’t make us perfect, so we will all make mistakes. Well, if you look at it that way, yeah, God’ll forgive you, but he’ll want you to try to become a better christian.

Answer #13

Unless god tells you his will persoanlly. He did and you even mentioned it. . .

Answer #15

As long as you have excepted Jesus as your savior then you have salvation. In time you will want to please the Lord…we all slip up from time to time…we are human. Ahhh…so you listen to rap? Did you know that there is a lot of Christian rap out there as well…and the cussing…well if you are cussing using Christ’s name then..yeah it’s not a good thing. God doesn’t want us as Christians to keep ourselves in a world on our own. Jesus hung around with thiefs, adulters, and many more…he spoke to them about God’s love…you don’t have to push Jesus down anyone’s throat …you just love them and let God do the rest …don’t be offended by your christianity…in the end people will respect that.
