We were talking about the American dream in English class & it was pretty obvious that the girls dreams were different then the males and surpisingly more realistic.
This is generally the extent of it; Some want to go to college and some dont.

Have 2 kids
Live happily ever after. Definitley not my dream though.

The American dream for everyone is to work hard and achieve a better life. It is getting much harder to do since hard work is not valued or rewarded as much as it was in the past and the cards are so stacked against many people that they have little chance of getting ahead. Socioeconomic mobility is much worse than it was in the past and ironically is worse in America than most civilized countries. i.e. the American dream is easier to achieve outside America.
