I think I'm Bi-polar. My mood changes constantly from sad to mad to happy and especially irratated. My mom says it is just hormones? What is hormones? does it have do with what age you are too, she said it does?? I'm just sick of this feeling I'm like on a emotion roller coaster.

It really depends...
a hormone is a chemical that sends messages from one part of the body to another...
it could be hormones, the mood swings... but a lot of times disorders are left undiagnosed because parents think their kids are just "going through a phase".
If the mood swings are connected to your period than they most likely are hormonally based (which doesnt mean you cant do anything about it... the doctor can give you pills to stablize things)
you might want to talk to your doctor about it next time you see him/her...
just because most teens go through hormonal changes and most of them dont have disorders, doesnt mean that some of them dont...
You're a teenager, right? It could well be your hormones. It's because you're going through puberty, and your hormones go crazy. This hormone imbalance can give you unpredictable mood swings. Just know that it's normal, and you'll get through it.
