a belly button piercing will definitely make you look like a slut. They are very sexual and they look trashy. I think you need some as they say, “cred” before you go totally goth. Try seeing if there is a Rocky Horror Picture Show in your area. Thats a good start…

Ok, first of all, many goths are Christian. Second of all, not all emos believe in Christ. Third of all, WHAT THE HELL?! Emo is short for emotive as in the style of music. It’s not a religion, not ALL emos are Christian and snake-bite piercings are definately not labelled as “emo piercings”. Stop stereotyping everything.

Oh, BTW…

Goth isn’t just about the fashion, goth is simply a life-style. You can’t just go goth, you have to be goth. However, just the style wouldn’t classify you as goth. You can be whoever you want to be. I wear a lot of black also, but just because I like it. You don’t have to be labelled to wear a certain colour (or shade). :P

It was more pain than I expected, here’s the trick though; If you expect no pain or small amount of pain it’s going to hurt - but it you expect a lot of pain it wont hurt as much.

Change your style all you want - its called being yourself and not following stupid stereotypes. How would getting your bellybutton pierced make you look like a slut? People need to learn what words mean before using them like that, and you should say that to her. Tell her to go learn the meaning of ‘slut’ before she makes a fool of herself. Getting your bellybutton pierced says nothing about your personality, I have mine done.

Her friends said she would LOOK like a slut. And its true, no classy woman has a belly button ring. I think if you are going for a “come hither”, “I want sex” look then yes they are appropriate. This girl is only 14 and that is too young to be getting a piercing with such sexuality behind it. I am not lame, I am giving out an adult perspective. I think a better piercing for a goth look would be a tragus anyway. And I think if you have to get a piercing its slightly more age appropriate.
