Found a baby owl

my husband found a baby in the street lastnight in the storm here… I cant tell how old it is but I still has some baby feathers on it…we do not want it as a pet although we are having trouble finding the people to call…to take it.. the zoo said no..I called a nature place and can’t get no answer..I leave messages and no call backs..I don’t want it to die so does anyone know what I can do.. it is not aggressive although it makes a lot of clicking sounds.. what does that mean?

you should get a box and a blanket and put it there also dont talk while your around it and try to stay in the dark and take it to a animal hospital or a hospital any…feed it worms and things might be gross but its for the animal and every once an a while take it outside because you might find its parents as well that it need to learn how to fly and the clicking noise doesnt mean anything it just mean its kinda scared Well GOOD LUCK WISH YOU THE BEST!

the department of natural resources (DNR) should be able to help you, I would do it as soon as possible, I believe that possession of a bird of prey could be considered against the law without a license. it is very admirable of you to take it upon yourself to rescue this baby owl, so I would give you a big pat on the back for doing it. but I believe the DNR should be contacted ASAP.
