Found 3 baby kittens

My little sisters found 3 little baby kittens outside we dont know how old they are but the mama cat sniffed them and ran away I tried feeeding them cat food from a can but not sure what to do. Their eyes are all matted up too. They ate the cat food from a can is it okay to continue that

Hi there. The best thing to do would be consult your local vet, they should be able to give you free advice over the phone. If you take the kittens in you may get charged a consultation fee, though I’m not 100% sure. Like I said just give your local vet a call and they will be able to give you all the help you need.

Just please don’t listen to anyones advice on kitten raising on this site. Fair enough everyone wants to help, but no one with the education of a Veternarian is going to be wasting there time on a site like this. It’s fun advice, which means nothing should be taken seriously and the lives 3 innocent kittens is something you should take seriously so please, once again, consult your local Vet.

they have Upper Respitory Infection, they need to go to a vet a be put on antibotiocs. This is a serious infection and can be deadly, plus you don’t know if they have feline aids or feline leuk. but the vet can test for that also

So Damologist she is only supposed to take your advice and no one else knows what they are talking about??? that is rude don’t you think? I work at Seven Bends Veternary Hospital. Look up the site and you will see my name and picture under Veterinary Assistant. I work full time and with 4 doctors, 5 Tech’s, 4 Assistants, 4 Reciptionist, and one on site office manger. I think I may know a little about this field. You are a very rude person to make a comment like that. How do you know that doctors are not on this site for some entertainment and to help out? So you joined YESTERDAY and you know all about the members of this site?

Ashkk19il- Your best bet for the safty of the kittens is to see a vet, you can try to feed them and use a warm wet cloth to keep there eyes clear, but if they have a infection the only way to clear it is to get meds. Also if on of these babies is sick with Feline Aids or Feline Leuk then they need to be in a singel cat home and not left outdoors. Or Euthinzied. If you can’t take on this duty or expense then call your local shelter or animal control. Good luck and take the advice you need and leave the rest. There are a lot of wonderful ladies on this site who can give you great advice.

Why not? don’t they also have fun. We have doctors on this site and people with vetinary experience…seriously that’s an ignorant comment to make.

I agree with harleyrider on this one. you’re being rude and after one day it’s impossible to be able to tell who spends their time on this site and who doesn’t.

Oh and for your information we do have some very capable and experienced people in this category that know what they are talking about.
