I was walking to my car when I saw a baby bird fall out from his nest.. I let him there for like 2 hours and the mom never took him so I took him in my house and provided a nest looking thing to keep warm and I gave him like worms… I don’t want him to die but I don’t know how to take care of him .. can anyone please helppp

Answer #1

don’t panick !!! keep it warm.. mush up the worms in to little bits. give it some water too. put it in a box or if you plan on keeping it put it in a cage. and wear gloves before touching it again. you never know it could have rabies. Go to the docter ASAP!!!

Answer #2

Don’t re-release it at all, you have alredy touched it, it will not survive now in the wild. Get an box type thing and a heat lamp and keep it warm all night and then call your animal shelter/vet tomorrow and they will probably take her/him in and take care of them…

It happend to me once, my dad forgot to close the A.C so it froze to death, dont want the same thing to happen to you. Keep it worm!!!

Answer #4

If you plan on re-leasing it back into the wild don’t touch it a lot. The smell of you will offend the other birds and they will kill it. Keep it warm, and if it is a real small baby bird you should mush up the worms for it a little bit. You could also take it to a vet and they can give to some place that can help it live and sned it back out into the wild.

Answer #5

Birds eat regurgitated food… it’s not going to eat whole worms… or partial worms…

Try this site, and if possible, try to put it back in its nest
