Algebra 1 question

What the answer to these 2 questions I got here that I can’t anwer at all lol 3(x + 2/5) = x - 1/3 x=??? And this other question 1/4(2x - 12) = 2/3(3x + 9) x=??? If anyone can help thank you alots and plzzz try and help me with my gay homework

Answer #1

OOPS. Sorry guys. was in a rush. never mind.

Answer #2

yeah it’s cool it helped me in some way lol

Answer #3

uhhh…these are really easy. All you have to do is solve for x.

the first one, distribute the 3 in the parenthesis. Once you do that get x by itself and solve for it…same for the second one.

1.) x=-23/30…I don’t have a calulator so check me if I’m wrong. 2.)x=-6…again…check me if I’m wrong.

Answer #4

3(x + 2/5) = x - 1/3 x=??? And this other question 1/4(2x - 12) = 2/3(3x + 9) x=???

For any solve x problem do it in this order: 1.Anything Squared

  1. Multiply and divide
  2. plus and minus

Then you won’t go wrong

Therefore following the above rules

3(x + 2/5) = x - 1/3 Multiply first 3x + 6/5 = x - 1/3 Plus and minus 3x - x = -1/3 -6/5 2x = -1/3 - 6/5 30x = -5/15 - 18/15 30 x = -23/15 x = -23/15 /30 x = -23/15 * 1/30 x = -23/450

2nd question 1/4(2x - 12) = 2/3(3x + 9) 2/4x - 12/4 = 6/3x + 18/3 2/4x -6/3x = 12/4 + 18/3 6/12x - 24/12x = 36/12 + 72/12 -18x/12 = 108/12 -18x = 108 x = - 6

Answer #5

3(x + 2/5) = x - 1/3

3x + 6/5 = x - 1/3 3x - x = -1/3 - 6/5 2x = -1/3 - 6/5 2x = -5/15 - 18/15 2x = -23/15 x = -23/15 divide by 2 -23/30

Answer #6

ifeelcrazy made an error. After 2x = -1/3 - 6/5 convert the factions to common denominator of 15, (do not multiply the left side by 15)

2x = -5/15 - 18/15 2x = -23/15 x = - 23/30
