How are Al Qaeda and Taliban related?

The taliban were the Afghan warlords with ties to Al Qaeda.

Al Qaeda itself got its start in Afghanistan through the mujahedeen who were rebels funded through the Bank of Credit and Commerce International to fight the Soviet invasion. The BCCI was a creation of western intelligence agencies.

Al Qaeda is an arabic euphemism denoting a database of mujahedeen contacts known to western intelligence fronts. Al Qaeda is covertly funded and directed by western intelligence through handlers like Osama Bin Laden… Anwar Al-Awlaki and Adam Gadahn nee Pearlman.

I was about to shout “fking conspiracy theorist!” but credit where it’s due it does sort of make sense - I’ve always suspected that there was some kind of clandestine, half-hearted, love-hate relationship between the US govt and Islamic terr*rists.

Well… I appreciate the restraint…lol Obviously I don’t wish to preach to the choir and it only works to further flesh out the truth when objective onlookers earnestly scrutinize the facts presented.

What restraint? It ain’t restraint - I base my opinions on facts or lack thereof, restraint doesnt come into the picture.

I meant the restraint not to dismiss me as a whacko conspiracy theorist immediately out of hand before considering the facts… by your initial response mentioned.
