Why is it that you can be any age to smoke but you have to be 18 to buy ciggerates?

I doubt thats the case, i think you should look up the laws. If you have to be a certain age to buy them then you have to be a certain age to smoke them….they probley just dont enforce the law as much.

yeah wut state are u in? i live in houston(texas) and u have to be 18 in order to buy and or consume any tobacco products.

Yes, I think there should be a law. If kids are going to start getting hooked to one of the most addictive substances out there and one of the most life threatening products (given the mortality rate, it seems really stupid to even start but anyways), lets not make it easy on them.

People smoke of all ages in the Ohio i mean i see 14-16 years old smoking and drinking they can always get someone to buy it for them and then drink it for themselves.
