Advic/Help Needed Fast

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost three years. Today we got into an arguement and he was trying to be honest but ended up hurting me. He told me that right before we started dating he had sex with this girl that used to go to school with me, and she sleeps around a lot. I got upset and told him that I couldnt ever look at him the same again. I mean I cant get over it, and I dunno why it upset and hurt me so bad but it did. I just cant get it outta my head when every time I talk to him or look at him I think of them having sex. I mean what should I do about this, and how do I get it outta my head its really bothering me and I dunno what to do about the whole situation.

he had sex before you started dating? as long as he didn’t cheat on you then it’s not that bad. the same thing happened with me and my boyfriend, except I didn’t hear it from him, people we’re telling me he had sex with a girl the summer before we started dating, and I found out like 3 months into our relationship (and it was really hard because he’s my first and current boyfriend!) I asked him about it and he was honest about it, but the same thing that is happening to you, happened to me. that thought just kept run over and over in my mind, I mean, what if he still had feelings for her, what if he has cheated on me? you know? but we’ve been together for over a year now and our relationship is still really strong. I geuss you just have to learn how to look past the bad things and make good things. and look on the bright side, at least your boyfriend is honest with you, he could have ever told you about it! sure, sometimes that thought still pops into my head and it bugs me, but I just think of what we have and it makes up for it. just try not to think about it and talk to him about it. hope this helps =)
