Is 5 hour energy bad for students to drink to stay awake for school?

The thing you should be using to stay awake for school is called sleep. You require about 8 hours of that per day. And you should do it before school.

If there is an exceptional occasion, where you do not get enough sleep you may want to consider ingesting substances that keep you awake. Such as coffee or energy drinks. Yes.

But you do that if you happen to be woken up by a traffic accident in front of your house or by a neighbor brawling with his girlfriend. Or maybe, once or twice in a year, you do it on purpose, if the finals of the world championship of your favorite sport are live on TV in the middle of the night because they come in from a different time zone.

But using them “per default” on a regular basis as a replacement for sleep is definitely not good for you. Playing “World of Warcraft” till 4 AM every night for several months and then keeping yourself awake at school with massive amounts of caffeine should never be an option.

Sheep it’s fine I am not one of those kids that drinks a red bull to stay awake. I enjoy your sarcasm and I know but y’know kids lately with small attention spans and sleep deprivation :D

If you want more energy a healthier way. cuz yea those are bad for you. 1: cut out all caffine(its an artificial boost) 2: Get more sleep (8 hours) 3:Take a multi vitamin daily 4:Eat high energy foods.. like fruit and vegies. nuts. gains. whole wheat 5:exercise 6:De-stress(energy drainer) 7: Try some coconut oil.. Its great wih energy. Just a spoon full :) you can do this many times a day. Its yummy

Probably the only ingredient in 5 hour energy that perks you up is caffeine. The rest of it is hokum. It has about the caffeine of one large coffee. Personally I started drinking coffee when I was 12. Coffee isn’t all bad. It appears to help prevent diabetes, certain cancers, and for many Americans it is their main source of antioxidants. People have been drinking coffee and tea for centuries so if it was killing people we would have figured it out by now. Energy drinks we can’t be sure about.
