Just thought of something else, try looking on the net for cash for gold sites or your local pawn shop, if you have any unwanted 10k/14k jewellery sitting around. The gold buyers will, I think, even take odd earrings/broken chains etc (I believe they melt it down). I haven't tried this, but it might be an option. Just don't sell anything that you are emotionally attached to, 'cuz once it's gone, it's gone and you might regret selling it in a few years/months once your money troubles are over.
Sounds like you're off to a good start, however, I know selling stuff on web sites can be slow. Try looking in your city to see if there are 2nd hand stores (I know here in Ontario we have a chain of 2nd hand CD/DVD/video games stores and I sold a bunch of DVD's that I no longer wanted and got $60.00. Once I got to the store it took about 1/2 hour for the guy to go through and price all my stuff, but I walked out with cash in hand. Good luck! : )
Do you have anything that you could sell (like CD's, video games, DVD's etc)?
As long as the item is yours and it's something that you can bear to part with, there are tons of 2nd hand places that buy used items and re-sell them.
Just be prepared to show ID when you sell your items.
Remember, that you won't get top dollar, but it's a quick way to make some extra cash, for things that might just be lying around the house.
Take out a loan, borrow money from a family member, or do odd jobs.
