In case the name doesn't sound familiar, he's the one that coined the phrase, "legitimate rape" sometime this week or last week, not sure. But do you feel that people are in the right to attack him brutally or should we forgive him and accept his little mess up because he was talking out of arse?
While his statement was scientifically inaccurate to the point of idiocy, I think people should move on. I mean, he did apologize, saying he made a mistake with his choice of words and that - gasp! - rape can indeed cause pregnancy. It’s great to hear that he has knowledge of basic human biology.
I think he did choose the wrong word "legitimate rape" when he obviously meant "forcibly raped" and I'm happy to cut him some slack for that. However, the "what doctors have told me" part and his general views show he's a complete insensitive idiot who is completely unfit for public office.
Sorry, but he simply was honest enough to say into a microphone what has been the position of the right wing since the 1970's. They really do say that women can't become pregnant if they REALLY are GENUINELY raped.
I think he slipped up, and we should forgive him. It sorta ruined his overall image, though.
I was hoping to use what he said as part of my future comedy bit :(
... Really? That's... Quite disheartening...
haha, no one is stopping you!
