What is zion in a religous sense?

What is zion? I no like the musitian zion, but I’ve heard its a place where like all religions are like “in harmony” or somthing like that. Any answers?

It has multiple meanings, but in the most common usage, it refers to the Kingdom of God - an idyllic time in which God dwells among his people, such as is depicted in the Old Testament while the Israelites roamed in the desert.

..sort of like Shangrila or Utopia.

zion is a city in the matrix… hahaha. I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but basically its the only place where humans are free.

Zion is the name of a mountain near Jerusalem. it has religious significance because it is supposed to be the name of the place where Christ will reign from after his second coming. Christ is supposed to come, then Zion (the new Jerusalem,) will be built, Satan will be bound, and Christ will rule over the earth for a millennium. that’s why you hear Zion a lot…it’s the place to be, because that’s where Christ will be. anyways, hope this helps. live the dream.

I think Zion also includes the people of God. Zion… meaning Gods own.
