Your stand on hunting

Ok, there are sooo many GO-GREEN people out there today. So, I have, as a hunter, been getting slamed about hunting. So, what I am asking is … what is your stand on hunting? and why do you think that way?

I love animals so I cant imagine myself going out and shooting something innocent. however, im NOT going to blast or come down on one that does like hunting. its just not my thing. but if one likes it and enjoys it, thats good for them, I dont hate you for it.

Answer #4

HATE IT! sorry dude but got to go with my opinions anyhow whats the enjoyment out of it? killing innocent animals, listen I promise im not trying to slam YOU just your prefered method of things you do.

Answer #5

Actually… What people don’t understand is hunting is GOOD for animals. Because by hunting a certain amount ( Why licenses are limited yearly depending on animal populations checked) You kill off some of the populaiton so they don’t starve to death in harsh conditions and there is more food to go around.

Answer #6

I’m don’t like hunting personally but I see it as something part of the food chain. I mean look at wolves and lions and hawks, they kill other animals every day to get by, and that’s what some hunters do it for, food. I still don’t really like it when people mount deer heads on their walls but overall, I’m fine with it.

Answer #7

I hunt, not for the trophy sport of it, I do it for the food that fills my freezer all winter long and them some, AND WE donate some of the deer meat to homeless shelters and women’s shelter for abuse. So please next time anyone wants to think it is wrong, think about how many mouth’s it can and does feed, at a very low cost. Keep;s animal population under control, I have seen them run though glass bay doors at car stores, A women in Robesonis, Pa hit a deer it came threw her windshild she lost control of the car and hit a tree and died, they opened up a long season for alligator hunting because they were coming into people’s back yards and eating dogs and childeren. SO IF you READ MY HOLE ANSWER, LET ME ASK THIS QUESTION, what would it be like if there was no hunting, where would all the animals go? Not just the cute ones but all the animals, including man eating animals? Be realistic, We take up to much space, where would they all go?

Your green friends have admirable principles. Life would be nice if no animals died at our hands, the streams were all uninhibited, mountains were filled withhold growth and the beaches were clean and pristine. We’d all love that. But man is here to stay. Negative growth isn’t going to happen.,(Barring some human tragedy far more cruel that seasonal hunting.)

Past, short sighted practices have obligated us to do what we can to maintain a balance between, the animals and their food resources. Until open range ranching stops, communities disappear and the whole human race goes extinct we will have the situation we live in now. We broke the balance and now we need to artificially balance nature as best we know how. That means some animals must die and better they die humanely and provide food for families than they waste away, starved to death on hill sides because we fenced them off from their winter ranges or allowed them to exceed the land’s ability to support them.

I think it’s far more cruel when communities fence off traditional wintering or migration areas in order to expand the community and then ignore the animals on the other side of the fence starving from the lack of food that they once found where the new subdivisions are.

I hunt. I’ve hunted since I was a child. I like wild meat and so does my family. Wild meat is better for you than the domesticated meats. There are more vitamins and minerals, much less fat and much less cholesterol.

I am against hunters who hunt for sport alone, just to kill. The ones who leave animals behind because they either want to keep hunting or they want a better trophy. I’m against the hunter who doesn’t put in the effort to be skilled enough to make clean, humane kills and instead wounds animals that the hunter can’t or won’t find. I’m against the hunter breaks the rules.
