Can i do this with yeast infec meds?

Hello.

I have BV (Bactiria Vaginitis) and i’ve had a very difficult time getting rid of it with little results. I’ll finally get rid of it, and i keep getting it back for unknown reasons. I have to see a specialist for it, but here’s the question. Can i put yeast infec creame for the outside of your vagina on my vagina to help with the soreness/rawness? I did it than thought i should ask, the pain/itchiness when away right away though.

Help me. Thank you.

your gynecologist will be able to answer all of your questions for you- it is impossible to perfectly diagnose or tell someone how to treat a disorder on this site where we are all just basic laymen and not medical doctors.

No, never put topical ointments inside you. There is cream you can buy at the drugstore that can go inside, and is good to use on the outside too, for yeast infections. But if it’s a bacteria, it should be treated with antibiotics, whereas yeast infections are fungal and need anti-fungal medication. If you think its a yeast infection, no harm in trying one of the drugstore 3-day treatments like Monistat.
