What can I do about his addiction?

My is addicted to liquor and he gets drunk about twice a month but he goes to AA meetings but it doesn’t help him. Is there any thing I can do to help him??

My dad had an alchol problem when I was younger. Eventually he got over it.. but not until he was ready. He still has a beer here and there. But you have to be careful. He won’t quit until he is ready to say goodbye.

well you can’t make him stop drinking. But say that its not going to work out between ya’ll if it doesn’t stop. Or that you love him, and you want him to life for a really long time and that its bad for him!! Hope everything works out!!

well… this same thing happened with some one close to me. i think that the best strategy would be to talk to him face to face with a minimum of one other person that is close to him. tell him that his liquor probelm not only affects him but it hurts you. this seems to help the person more than anything. please make sure that your in a quiet setting it seems to help some how. try it if it doesn’t work tell me and i’ll try to help to the best of my abilities. good luck
