How to tell my Dad I don't want to visit again?

Ok my parents are devoriced and I dont want to go to my dads this weekend and I dont know how to tell him cause I have already not gone over there in a month and im scared of his reaction

If you go, your current stress is relieved - you can make the best of it and if the opportunity presents, have a talk with him and let him know how you feel about things (respectfully and sincerely) - he’s the only Dad you’ll ever have - communicate - I wish you the very best !!

Answer #2

I think you need to talk to him about how you feel. If you usually stay the whole weekend you could say “hey dad how about every saturday we can go to this place or blah blah.. just us because I love you and I want to spend time with u!” hope it helps. Let us know what happens.

But yeah I understand it’s really hard for you seeing him with this new family but just try to make the best of it you don’t want to turn your back on your dad he’s the only dad you’re ever going to have and u’ll probably need him one day.

Answer #5

You need to be honest with him. What are the reasons on why you don’t want to go? Sometimes we have to do things we don’t really want to do, but if there are good reasons why you don’t want to go there you need to tell him. Maybe sitting down and talking to him would be the best thing. But if you don’t want to go just because you would rather go out with friends then I would recommend you go over because family will always be there for you (hopefully).
