Does anyone here still write checks, or have you gone all electronic now?

Cheques for our friends across the various ponds.

Answer #1

My mom does, she never ever touches a computer, those are for me :)

Answer #2

I do…some of my bill payments are done by cheque.

Answer #3

For some local bills, yep, it’s checks…however, for most locally it’s cash. But, this isn’t how we did it in the states, that was all electronic.

Answer #4

I write checks for the water bill and the lawn guy, that’s it. Everything else is electronic.

Answer #5

Oh and duh, rent :) A check to the local rent agency.

Answer #6

I do….for some things….for bills I’m electronic, but get this…..for food, and the everyday stuff, I’m really old fashioned and use cash. I still don’t have a debit card either….LOL.

Answer #7

I’m all electronic!!!

Answer #8

I use cash too?! :(

Answer #9

I pay via the web as much as possible but some places are so old fashioned that I still have to use checks. Like my city tax office, they will charge you a “convenience fee” to pay using a credit card or if you pay online.

Answer #10

sometimes yes. i sold summet on ebay a few weeks ago and i overcharged the person for p&p. it was only £1.49 but i slipped a cheque in the post for her cus i hate paypal.

Answer #11

Once in a while but it is pretty rare.

My bank’s bill pay will even mail a single check to an individual for me if I set it up. When I set up my checking account with bill pay the bank gave me a single book of checks. I asked about ordering more and was assured me that I’ll probably never use these up and they were right. I’m still on the same book of checks.

Unless someone expects to be paid on the spot I use bill pay.

Answer #12

We have gone electronic now Credit/ Debit Cards are in , leave checking writing for the cavemen .

Answer #13

I still write cheques, Personally I’d never do anything with a lot of money over the computer lol.

Answer #14

I’ll do a money order for some things, but mainly it’s all ATM withdrawals and debit card payments for me.

Answer #15

I don’t write checks at all, I prefer doing it all in cash. This way I have and see what I’m spending at the exact moment I’m doing it – this seriously discourages me from spending even more. It hurts seeing $100 go at once sometimes, haha. xD

In cases where I don’t have what I need on me then I’ll do debit, but I rarely have to do that.

Answer #16

I use checks for more expensive things but i normally use my credit and debit cardes
