Wrist piercing

so I guess to ANYone who has actually got it.. does it hurt.. what does it feel like?.. does it ever get caught in anything is it worth it.. how long did it take to heel? and how much is it?

Answer #1

I got it today, it’s not painful if your piercer numbs it beforehand like mine did. It doesn’t hurt afterward but I don’t know about later on. It hasn’t bled that much and it doesn’t hurt; if you want it go get it but there’ll be a (wicked cool) scar if you take it out so it’s kinda permanent.

Answer #2

Yes! Get one already and don’t let anyone use scare tactics to talk you out of it. I got mine done and I’m so happy I did. The piercing didn’t hurt but the healing period does require some patience. I had a few problems the first week after it was pierced but after consulting with my piercer she reassured me that it was pretty normal and no need to worry about it being infected. As long as the liquid oozing out isn’t a color of bright green I’m fine and the swelling is a result of using that hand more than the other. But the swelling will go down with time, good aftercare, and using more caution…so don’t panic…your piercing is fine

Answer #3

That’s one of the worst places to have a piercing,I haven’t had a piercing in a long time but I know it does hurt,I suggest you NOT get one.

Answer #4

its a surface peircings meanig you probably done know that its NOT permanent and it WILL grow out all surface peircngs grow out and you will be left with a very noticable, and very permanent scar when it finally dies which could be in a few weeks-months to a few years but seeing as though you move your wrist a lot I doubt it would stay in there for even 1 year research it more so you actually know about it also as it a surface peircing and a pretty big one it would cost about the same as the back of the neck (if your getting a long bar) so around $60-$100+)

Answer #5

To the people flipping out/making a huge deal over this - CHILL OUT! It’s NOT that big of deal…

Now to answer your question -

The pain will depend on your personal pain tolerance, just like any other piercing. It’ll probably feel a little odd until your use to it. I wouldn’t think it’d get caught on anything as long as your careful with it. If you truly want it and are happy with it then yes, it’s worth it. If you’d ever decide you didn’t want it or end up not liking it after awhile, then you can remove the jewlery and let the hole close up. If it’d leave a scar, I highly doubt it’d be very noticable so you have nothing to worry about there. As for the cost/healing time, you can check with the piercer that you’ll be going to.

Hope this help you, if you need anything else… let me know.

Answer #6

I would advise you not to do it. it is hard to heal, can end up torn out, and is known to reject and push out. I have removed many barbells and dermal anchors from the wrist, neck, fingers, and hips. (I am a professional piercer and tattoo artist.) yet a small amount of people end up having great luck with surface piercings. they are very hard to care for also. you need to think about for a while and decide if it is worth it.

Answer #7

They hurt like f*cking hell. D: It took awhile for it to heal.

Answer #8

they have those

Answer #9

I got mine done too. It didn’t hurt at all and that was without having the area numbed. It’s definately the least painful piercing I’ve ever had. My body started rejecting it after a week though, I blame the piercer for not using a staple bar like I asked… I didn’t take it out, but my wrist aches a lot even now :/ It cost me £25, so $50 ish
