What do you think of working on Thanksgiving Day?

i agree with those, because we all need it, but shopping i think those can wait i mean we can shop any day, but being with our loved ones that is priceless.

I’m just lucky to be at a place that doesnt require i work on thanksgiving. One day, that might change.

I get double time on Thanksgiving, so I’m all for it! I tried to sign up for a double shift, but they were all snatched up.

i agree with colleen, you can’t close down the emergency people. so some have to work

I’m working on Thanksgiving and thankful for my job. (no pun intended) Someone has to do it so I’ll take the double time pay. I tend to aggree with you a little about stores, but many retailers and small business owners rely on this time of year to stay in the black.

Or data centers. We do run on a skeleton crew so as many people can enjoy it with their family as possible. A friend of mine celebrates Thanksmas. Since it was so hard for his family to get together twice a year half of them got together for Thanksgiving and the other half for Christmas. Instead they meet on the day half way between Thanksgiving and Christmas and celebrate both holidays together. Nobody has trouble getting the day off or a flight and everyone can see each other every year.
