Windows live messenger helppp

How do I download a new windows live messenger?(msn). I need a brand new one and I go to delete my current msn out of my programs on my computer and when I go to download a new msn it works fine..but everything has gone back to normal as if I didnt delete it in the first place..all my emotions are still there..my typing font is still the same…I just need to download the msn and make it brand new basically when I am using it can someone help please ?

what does os mean? im using vista

I never uninstall messenger as teh new .exe will uninstall parts of the previous one and overwrite as necessary..

what os are you using?

operating system…

ok vista…

this is what id do:

uninstall messenger—> delete the folder from c/program files/ (windows live)—> delete the folder from c/program files/ (windows live skydive)—> delete the folder from c/program files/ (windows mail)—>

now restart your PC…

double check 2 make sure the folders have not appeared back—>

if they have we need to delete some stuff out the registry: everything that has “Windows Live” in it… but this could take hours to do 0_o

ok ok hold on hold on— did you get the emotions online or off???

enable: show hidden files and folders

application data\microsoft\msn messenger\account number\custom emoticons.
