Why do teens wait so long to take a pregnancy test?

mandyloo, They frustrate me so much too - but they never shock me as much as the one time a girl was like “I’m due tomorrow to give birth, how do I tell my mom?” like WHAT! I was speechless, she hadn’t even told her mom she was pregnant, and she was 14-years-old which means she probley didn’t seek prenatal care either. These things shock me.

You had an ultrasound? For what reason. They dont just do ultrasounds on people who think they might be pregnant. They would do a blood test. I doubt your pregnant hun, from what you’ve been saying. I’m hoping your not for the poor child’s sake.

well, I have had periods, and I’ve had an ultra sound and I thought if there was somethin g they would tell me. So I havent been really worried about it, I havent gotten sick, I have some of the semptoms, but I really dont think I am though..I have taken test before and they said negative. havnt taken one in a while

I think that I could b pregnant. If I am then im like 1 month. Im going get a test today and c. I just started feeling some of what could b pregnancy symptoms.

It’s not even that. It’s the one’s that say it’s been 4 months since they last had a period. They could be 5 MONTHS PREGNANT! That’s so serious. They could have healthy conditions, or the baby could and they wouldn’t even know.

I know I shouldn’t be suprised, but I still am. I guess it’s just the area I’m from. There are young girls that are pregnant, but not a great number or them. I just thought these girls were more educated. I mean hell. Your pregnant, time to grow up and take some responsibility. Waiting 6 months to tell anyone could kill you and that baby. There are so many health issues that can come up with pregnancy, some are deadly if not treated. What are they thinking? If your old enough to open your legs, you should be old enough to take responsiblity and tell your parents and either give it up/abort it/or keep it.
