Why no sound with World At War?
I installed World at War a month ago. I have never gotten the sound to work. I have XP pro sp2 and Realtek sound card. I installed the newest driver dated 6 days ago, but no change. I lowered the settings in the control panel, no change. I reinstalled it along with all the patches, no change.
That gave me a hint to the problem. There were several unused audio codecs in device manager. I disabled them and the sound started working. Thanks
My brother’s advice:
Realtek sound card is an onboard sound card , are you using a logitech wireless headset or any other sound device? Check if the default sound is for Realtek.
