Answer #1

Maybe the heat setting is on too high. I would get the burnt part cut off, use Aussie’s 3 min miracle thing. I haven’t tried it but, I ‘ ve seen really good reviews on it. Oh yeah make sure your useing a heat protectant.

Try not pressing the straightner so hard at your ends. Also try to not straighten your hair everyday. And when your taking a shower get your ends and soaks then in conditioner.

I usedd to straighten my hair everyday with rimel london straightners, my hair got so bad to the point my hairdressers had to cut my hair short. Then I got some ghd’s this improoved my hair a tad. I’ve always used heat protection, and get my hair cut ever 6-7weeks.

To help just use protection spray. only go over the hair once or twice. and the obvious one, dont straighten it everyday.

I am a perfectionist, and when I used to straighten my hair I used to do it until it was dead straight, I now regret it as my hair is short due to having to have it cut, just try and keep away from straightening it all the time.

Because the ends are dry :) When you condition, add some extra conditioner to the ends. Use thick, moisturizing conditioner, like Generic Value Products Conditioning Balm (a knockoff of Biolage Matrix Conditioning Balm). Use a leave-in conditioner and heat protection whenever you straighten.

And go for sulfate-free shampoos. Even though they claim to be “moisturizing,” like Herbal Essences Hello Hydration of Dove Repair shampoos, they’re not! They usually have sodium laureth sulfate or ammonium lauryl sulfate, which strips your hair of moisture. Try Giovanni or Say Yes to Carrots, or baby shampoos. They’re much more gentle. If you have Health food stores, Trader Joe’s, or Henry’s grocery nearby, go there and look for natural, sulfate-free shampoos!
