Why is my dog like this?
When I stare at my dog or point at him he gets mad. Why does he get mad? He’s a chihuahua.
He feels that you are threatening him, direct eye contact with any animal is a threat always same as pointing remember you are the human you are bigger. and little dogs have huge @$$ personalitites.
dont worry my dogs like this too but when I stare at him he just drifts off to sleep and when it goes fully mad what happens does it bite you? because my dog sometimes bites me and sometimes bites its tail
You need to read up on the body language of a dog. Staring is considered a challange or a threat…EVERY single dog fight, started with the eyes…As far as “pointing”…he’s associating that with some type of body language…either way, he shouldn’t be looking at you as a “challanger”…you’re the human…the leader…Sounds to me tho, that your little Chi doesn’t see it that way.

Dogs can sense things like a threat or something bad is happening and your dog is thinking that your threatening he/she and can’t figure out if you actually are.I had a chihuahua myself and chihuahuas well can be aggressive to us humans>_< But maybe you shouldn’t point or do like a staring contest at them because like I said they sense that something may happen.
